We currently have a number of Faraday pouches available free of charge from Braunstone Police Station.

A Faraday pouch is a specially designed pouch that blocks radio signals from reaching items stored inside it. They are most commonly used to protect keyless entry vehicle keys from criminals who use signal-boosting devices to steal cars.

By storing your vehicle keys in a Faraday pouch when they are not in use, you can help prevent thieves from capturing and relaying the signal from your keys to unlock and start your vehicle.

Crime Prevention Advice:

Keep keyless vehicle keys in a Faraday pouch when at home.

Store keys away from doors, windows and letterboxes.

Always lock your vehicle and ensure valuables are removed.

Consider using additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, tracking devices or driveway security lighting.
